~An adolescent scullery maid at The Mor.

~Cassy, for the most part, is an intentional contrast to the overall mood that a majority of the other characters take on-Fox in particular. Innately unconcerned and all together oblivious to the presence of grave or pressing matters, she teases his seriousness with superficial regard--or at least seemingly so. It's difficult to imagine that there could be nothing deeper than simple innocence to someone so capable of taking care of herself.
Her personality, sprightly and capricious, immediately fascinates Fox. She is so detached from his reality that it's a welcome relief for him to be in her presence. In this way, a rather one-sided relationship develops wherein Fox has latched onto her childish charm to escape his own precocity, and she goes about her life as if he weren't there. Ironically, in this way, the very thing that initially drew Fox to Cassy also leaves a sizeable rift between them.

She has no need to be concerned and no responsibility other than her own welfare, so she takes advantage of the situation. I think she's the result of all of those days I spent in a classroom or office, gazing out the windows and wishing I could just flip my shoes off to go running through the grass.
There really isn't much of a story behind where her name came from (contrary to many of the other character names). I simply chose a name that, to me, sounded sweet and a little bit flighty.

~Although Cassy is a young adult, she behaves like a child-not in the sense that she's unintelligent or obnoxious, but that she simply chooses avoid acting with a particularly detectable level of maturity.
